Our company has developed a new technology,
which has proven that files can be transferred through the
Internet at incredible speeds. Our file transfer is much faster
than the competitors' solutions.
Anyplace Control allows you
to transfer files to, or from a remote computer. The
interface of our File Transfer engine is similar to
Windows Explorer's interface. Our File Transfer window,
like Windows Explorer, contains two panels, local (displays
local files) and remote (displays remote files.) You
can drag and drop files and folders between both panels,
to the
host and from the host.
All files and auxiliary commands are encrypted before
being transferred.
Watch demo:
Supported File Operations
The File Transfer engine allows the
following file and folderoperations in both local and remote panels:
Copy and Move files
and folders:
from local computer to remote (and the other way around)
or within the same computer (local or remote) - from one
folder to another.
Delete files and
folders.
Rename files and
folders.
Create new folders.
View properties of
files and folders.
Change attributes
for files and folders.
Open Documents and Run Executable Files
With the File Transfer engine, you
can open a document or start an executable file on a local
or remote computer. All you need for that is to double click
on the file. When starting an executable file, you can also
specify command line parameters (if required).
Resuming Copy Operation After Network Failures
File Transfer allows resuming file
copy after network failures - right from the spot where failure
interrupted the transfer,
instead of starting all over from the beginning. If
you want to resume copying a file after a reconnection, just
drag the file and drop it to the same location. The program
will inform you that the partially copied file already exists
and offer you to either resume the copying or to start it
all over, from the very beginning. This feature is very useful
when copying large files. Should you need to leave your office,
you can pause copying then resume it next day from the point
where you paused it.
Compressing Files to Speed Up Transferring
Our software compresses files before
transferring them between computers. It uses a very fast compression
algorithm, which doesn't slow down the program's performance
and gives a good compression ratio. Moreover, it minimizes
your network traffic, decreases your network load, and greatly
speeds up data transfer in low-bandwidth networks (for example,
dial-up connection.) Data travels between computers in the
compressed form and thus has less size.
Our File Transfer engine is intellectual enough: it "knows"
the most popular compressed files extensions (for example,
zip, jpg, gif, avi, etc.) and does not compress them again,
thus avoiding the loss of time for useless compression.
The compression feature makes our software different from
our competitors' solutions. Usually, competitors' file transfer
algorithms don't compress files before transmitting them over
network. Thus, the transfer time can be very long for low-bandwidth
networks. At the same time, our File Transfer engine compresses
files and thus greatly speeds up the transferring of files.
Dynamic Adjustment of Data Buffer Size to Speed Up Transferring
Our File Transfer engine continuously
evaluates the speed of connection. According to the results,
it dynamically changes the size of its own data buffer to
reach the maximum speed of data transfer.
According to our tests, our file transfer algorithm works
faster than most of our competitors' programs (such as FTP,
Remote Administrator, VNC, etc.)
Why?
Usually, our competitors' programs use a fixed size data buffer.
That is inefficient because if your connection speed is high
and the buffer size is small, the transfer rate will not reach
its possible maximum. Our software, on the other hand, dynamically
chooses the size of its data buffer depending on connection
speeds and other parameters. Thus, Anyplace-Control reaches
the maximum speed for file transfer.
Other than that, competitors' programs transfer each file
as a separate network message and wait for its delivery confirmation.
If you need to transfer a large number batch of small files,
this will greatly slow down the performance as the delivery
confirmation from the remote side will be required for each
file. Our software works the other way. It can send several
files simultaneously in a single network message and then
wait for a single delivery confirmation for the whole group
of files. It can place as many small files into a single network
message as the size of the data buffer allows. Networks with
high bandwidth have large data buffers. It will greatly speed
up the performance due to the decreased number of individual
network messages (and delivery confirmations) sent via the
network.
MS Network Places Alternative
If you are using MS Network Places to access files via
the network you have to share the folders to make them visible
to all network users. Sharing the folders is not a safe practice.
While using Anyplace Control you are
nor required to make your folders public. You have full access
to the files on remote computers, but in the Network Places
these folders remain unshared. Unfortunately,
in many networks MS Network Places appears to open and run
very slowly. Sometimes you need to access a remote file very
fast, but MS Network Places makes you wait for a long time.
Anyplace Control offers you flash-like access to remote files
and high speed file transfer, which is definitely an advantage
for you.
